We had a great turn out for the clinic last night at the Library. About 40 people showed up to participate, 25 kids and and another 15 or so adults. Doug told a few stories about Downhill racing in the Olympics and World Cup and let everyone see his World Cup Medal. On display in the library were some of his fantastic Olympic memorabilia and a selection of related books.
The group warmed up with laps around the ball field then stretched. Next came chicken walks, high leaps, galloping, sashaying and of course running. Then an amazing obstacle course including gates to run, hoops to jump through, GIANT basketballs to dunk and a hay bale pyramid (thanks Susie for the loan of hay bales). After the adults finished getting the kids through the course they took a turn trying it out.
Thanks to all who participated, helped with set up and clean up, and a special thank you to Doug and Kelly Lewis of ELITEAM camps!
Enjoy the pictures.
